Storyflock can do a unique set of things for you. Some of these things are very difficult to do in the current market scenario. We have developed new processes to be able to deliver these in a consistent way.

1) Edit and publish books: Often specific and particular tangents of practice and personal or organisational philosophy need to be framed a part of a larger narrative. Editing a book is not just a matter of subjective expertise. A book also needs to be arranged as a kind of musical/narrative composition that narrates the information at hand as a story. Every human activity and effort has a story that can make it evocative – the decision and effort to do this has to be applied.

Why a book? A book has been a format available to us for a long time and allows an idea to be elucidated as needed. We don’t just think about the insides of the book, we also imagine what form it will take eventually and how can it be made as accessible as possible.

2) Learning Design and Management: Being involved with formal and informal learning (both inside and outside educational institutions) we have come to a realisation:

  • Learners (both young and adult) often do not understand how to “learn” a new concept and still not abandon their existing set of “learnings”
  • To do this more than a teacher they need a learning designer – someone who can translate a body of knowledge into terms that they can easily transition to from their existing beliefs
  • In the case of a formal educational institution, unless this process is formalised and introduced institution-wide, the learning outcomes cannot be managed – this is something we call “learning management”

3) Elicit responses from your community: Elicitation is sometimes not as simple an interview or a survey – when the desired answer that is sought is abstract – patterns of interpretation have to be designed. The mode of questioning has to be more indirect and the mode of interpretation more poetic and analogical.
